STONE, CARED FOR

Care & maintenance

A little everyday care keeps your surface looking its best. Start here, then follow the guide for your exact brand, material and finish.

01 / CLEAN

Gentle, daily care

Use a soft cloth, warm water and a cleaner approved for your surface. Rinse away residue and dry. Wipe spills promptly, especially around joints.

02 / PROTECT

Heat, knives & edges

Use trivets for hot cookware and a chopping board for food preparation. Avoid impacts to edges and cut-outs, and never stand or sit on your worktop.

03 / CHECK

Know your finish

For stains, limescale or specialist cleaning, check the manufacturer's guide first. Strong chemicals and abrasive pads can damage some materials and finishes.

YOUR SURFACE

Different stone. Different care.

Quartz & mineral surfaces

Follow the product's care guide, including any advice for printed, honed or textured finishes. Do not apply sealers, wax or polish unless the manufacturer expressly recommends them. Protect against sudden changes in temperature.

Porcelain & sintered surfaces

Choose cleaning products and pads approved for your finish. Polished surfaces may need different treatment from matt finishes. Take particular care around edges, sink openings and corners.

Granite, quartzite, marble & terrazzo

Use a suitable pH-neutral stone cleaner. Marble and some terrazzo can mark when exposed to acids such as lemon juice, vinegar or descaler. Sealing requirements vary by stone and any factory treatment; ask us before applying a sealer.
